A EEI operational partner facilitates the promotion of the
vision of EEI, the accreditation of colleges, the administration, conduct and
invigilation of examinations. It may
be the local education authority, the examination authority, or an organisation
engaged in work in the areas of manpower and human resource. EEI currently enjoys the following operational partnerships:
EEI-SAFEA
Operational Partnership
EEI-SPEC
Operational Partnership
EEI-TAEA

EEI-IACBE Operational Partnership
EEI-HKMA
Operational Partnership
EEI and the China State Administration of
Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) entered
into an operational agreement on 15 January, 2001 to jointly promote the SCHOLARä International
Credit Transfer System in China. SAFEA
is a Chinese governmental department
charged with the
introduction of foreign expertise and the management of matters
pertaining to foreign experts working in the economic, technological and
cultural fields in China. In addition,
it is also responsible for the posting of Chinese officials abroad for training
in specific fields of specialisation.
SAFEA has also set up a training division to provide
technical and managerial training for both the public and private sectors in
collaboration with a national network of university partnerships.
The EEI-SAFEA collaboration facilitates the spread of
the SCHOLARä system to a great number of
institutions of higher learning in China by making full use of SAFEA's national
network of university partners, which will in turn help to promote greater
interest in international exchanges.
This is a significant development in view of China’s relatively
untapped potential in education and its entry into the World Trade Organisation
(WTO).

Mr Ma Yukui, Vice
President of TAEA, and Dr John

for Asia-Pacific, congratulating each
other upon signing the Memorandum of Understanding
EEI Asia-Pacific HQ in Singapore played host
to a high-level delegation of five visitors from the Tianjin Municipal
Educational Admission & Examinations Authority (TAEA ) in October 2002.
The delegation was led by
Mr Ma Yukui, Vice President of the Authority. The other members were
directors of three different branches of examinations and a senior manager
of International Exchange &
Co-operation.
The visit was concluded successfully with the signing of a
Memorandum of Understanding for Collaboration between the two parties on 16
October 2002. The MOU sets out
guidelines for the promotion and
conduct of Tianjin examinations outside China and joint examinations in China
leading to SCHOLARä awards and Chinese tertiary qualifications.
This development is of significant importance to EEI having
successfully secured the partnership of the State Administration of Foreign
Expects Affairs in Beijing in the year 2001, and the Shanghai Municipal
Professional Examinations Center in early 2002.
EEI is a specialist organisation established to provide education and
examination services to students and institutions of higher learning across
international boundaries. It is
registered in the United Kingdom, Singapore and the Hong Kong SAR with representative offices operating in
China and the European Union.
EEI recognises the importance of, and its responsibility in community
work. As such, it has set up a fund
code-named FISSION (which is the acronym for Fund
In Support of Students In Obvious Need)
with its surplus in income to provide educational opportunities to
under-privileged pupils in the remote areas and promising young people.
Such sponsorship includes bursaries, scholarships, the adoption of
pupils, and the promotion of language teaching methodology.

“The
SNAP program can be used to validate
the quality of college and
university

this will assist those institutions in becoming eligible to apply for
