The EEI Logo
The EEI logo consists of the letters EEI in white surrounded
by a circle in red. The shape of circle represents the all-round nature of
education and examinations.
The red colour symbolises the vigour and resourcefulness
characteristic of education and examinations, while the white colour represents
the integrity and responsibility expected of Education & Examinations
International.
What EEI Stands For
EEI is the
abbreviation of Education & Examinations International. It is a specialist organisation
established to provide education and examination services to students and
institutions of higher learning across international boundaries. It is registered in the United Kingdom,
Singapore and the Hong Kong SAR
with representative offices operating in China and the European Union.
EEI
represents the crystallisation of many man-years of experience accumulated by
educationalists, academicians and IT, engineering and business professionals.
EEI’s Global Development
HQ is based in its Asia-Pacific head quarters in Singapore which is supported
by the SCHOLAR™ International
Examining Board and International Advisory Panel. The Global Development HQ, headed by Dr John Pang, CEO for
Asia Pacific, is responsible for activities in all the SCHOLAR™
Regional Centres. SCHOLAR™
is the acronym for “System of Credit HOnouring, Lodging And Referral”. It provides a common
benchmark for educational exchange between countries of differing cultures and
practices, such as those between China and the western countries.
The SCHOLAR™ International Examining Board is staffed by Consultant
Examiners under the chairmanship of
A R Wilton, an authority in international examinations and supported by
Regional Examining Boards world-wide.
The International
Advisory Panel of experts in various fields of study provides support to the rapid development of EEI that is
envisaged by constantly reviewing the scopes and contents of the examinations.
SCHOLAR™
Regional Centres are established in countries / territories where SCHOLAR™
examinations are conducted with responsibilities of examination invigilation,
local moderation,
accreditation of local
colleges, and matters pertaining to language training.

Vision
EEI
aspires to realise its vision by facilitating the connectivity between academic
institutions across international boundaries.
EEI
proposes to fulfil its mission in two ways.
Firstly, EEI onducts multi-lingual,
global unified examinations under its SCHOLAR™ International Credit Transfer System
which will serve as a common platform for course articulations and credit
transfers.
Secondly, EEI maintains an Education
Resource Centre in Singapore to support activities relating to SCHOLAR™ partner support, international student
transfers and institutional collaborations.

The SCHOLAR™ International Examining Board currently
conducts examinations in business administration,
information technology and engineering leading to single-subject certificates, diplomas, advanced
diplomas and credit hours.
Examinations in other disciplines are currently under development.

EEI locates its Education
Resource Centre (ERC) in Singapore for its obvious geographic and
logistic advantages.
All SCHOLAR™ partners
participating in the international credit transfer system are entitled to have
access to the centre.
Facilities and
services available to academic members include:
(1) A reference
library covering particulars and details of all the academic partners;
(2) Registry
of credit transfers accepted by institutions using SCHOLAR™ as a common reference;
(3) Exclusive
interview services;
(4) Academic
referral and admission services
extended to both students and SCHOLAR™ partners;
(5) Visa
and travel services extended to SCHOLAR™ partners;
(6) Use of ERC facilities
such as meeting rooms, seminar rooms, visitor’s rooms, internet and
telecommunications equipment;
(7) Promotion of
inter-college collaborations;
(8) Educational tour
and sight-seeing activities.
